Creelers is the best restaurant in Edinburgh, and perhaps in all of Scotland. My wife and I are Americans who love Edinburgh. On a recent visit we ate at Creelers for the first time, and eagerly returned two days later for another meal. Its seafood is masterfully prepared, splendidly presented, and incredibly delicious. Its environment is comfortable, its staff is friendly, and its location is great. It's the best.

whether its atmosphere, service ,or simply fabulous food that you're looking for, Creelers is the place to dine. My friend and i were treated courteously from the moment we set foot throught the door, our enquiries regarding the wine list solicited a tasting, and our choices from the mouth watering menu delivered to our table with minimum delay. having an insatiable appetite for all crustaceans, my companion and i chose to share the seafood platter and i have to say it was the best we have ever had away from the cote d'azur!! a humungous pile of langoustine, crab, scallops, lobster, smoked salmon and mussels.....it should have come with a prize for finishing it!! which we almost did.....

We recently visited Edinburgh for the first time and booked a meal here in the hope that we had found a decent restaurant at last since it was my birthday.
We were greeted warmly and immediately felt at ease. The restaurant was busy and the service was efficient and friendly.
My partner and I had oysters and mussells as starters followed by venison for my partner and dover sole for myself. For dessert we ordered chocolate & hazlenut torte with home made ice cream and creamy rice pud. Followed by a selection of cheeses with port. The food was utterly delicious, using the finest ingredients, all freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. It was complemented by superb wines served at the perfect temperature.
We have no hesitation recommending this restaurant!!

Pretty, rustic and family run with friendly staff and small menu of mainly fish dishes- wonderful sea bass the night we were there. With wine, expect to pay about £ 80 for 2 for a three course dinner.

Creelers is an essential part of our Edinburgh August experience. A meal at Creelers has become just as important as anything the Film Festival or Fringe has to offer. Seafood cooked to perfection, wonderful service and a beautifully relaxed atmosphere - all at a reasonable price - make it a must visit for us at least once a year.
